Crary Laboratory: The Crary laboratory consists of approximately 1000 sq ft. of space in a 3000 sq. ft open-plan multi-investigator laboratory on the 9th floor of the Icahn Building at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. The laboratory is equipped for a wide range of histopathological studies of post-mortem brain tissue, including histology and staining equipment (e.g., tissue processors, embedders, microtomes, etc). The laboratory is also has a Ventana BenchMark XT automated IHC/ISH slide staining system. The laboratory is also equipped for biochemical, cell and molecular studies, with refrigerators, freezers, microwaves, gel electrophoresis equipment, microfuges, QPCR machines, water baths, laminar flow hoods, etc. The lab also has a KingFisher™ Flex Purification System for DNA and RNA isolation.
